What first appears to be an aged stucco wall slowly reveals a deeper story beneath the surface.

Created for a waterfront condominium in West Palm Beach, this mural was inspired by the clients' passion for competitive swordfishing, Caribbean travel, and classic maritime literature.
The composition was designed as a layered visual illusion. An aged nautical map of the Florida Keys, Bahamas, and Caribbean appears hidden beneath a weathered stucco wall, while torn openings within the map reveal a quiet ocean scene inspired by The Old Man and the Sea. Distressed textures, softened edges, and layered finishes were carefully developed to create the feeling of history slowly uncovered over time.

Designed specifically for the intimate setting of the bathroom, the mural transforms the space into an atmospheric coastal narrative ~ blending adventure, travel, literature, and the enduring pull of the sea into a single immersive environment.
