Created for a powder room within an eclectic Virginia Beach home, this hand-painted leopard print ceiling was designed to bring unexpected personality and playful sophistication to an otherwise compact space.
Inspired by the patterned border of. tropical area rug just outside the room, the ceiling became an extension of the home's layered design aesthetic rather than isolated decorative feature. The warm tan background nd organic patterning were carefully balanced against crisp white trim and the rooms dramatic vertical proportions, drawing the eye upward while adding movement, warmth, and whimsy to the small space.

Though bold in concept, the finished ceiling was intended to feel refined rather than overwhelming ~ a playful overhead statement that elevated an everyday powder room into one of the home's most memorable design moments.
